Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Fundub website and game, including playing as a guest. It does not cover Discord, Google, PayPal or any other site you reach from here - those have their own policies.

Account details. When you sign in with Discord or Google we receive your email address, display name and avatar, and create a Fundub profile from them. You can change the username, avatar and banner afterwards; the email stays as the account identifier.

Gameplay data. Points, levels, streaks, achievements, match and duel results, room membership, and profile likes. This is what leaderboards and profiles are made of, so some of it is public - see below.

Recordings. The audio of each take you record, plus the grading scores derived from it. Any clip you upload to a custom room is stored the same way.

Messages you send. The name, email address and message you type into the Contact form, and the contents of any report you file about another player.

Technical data. Standard server request information such as IP address, browser and timestamps, kept briefly by our host for security and debugging.

We do not collect payment card details, contacts, location, or anything from your microphone outside a take you choose to record.

The browser asks for microphone permission the first time you record, and the browser - not Fundub - controls that permission. Audio is captured only while a recording is running for a round or a room turn. There is no background or always-on listening.

In rooms with voice chat, your voice is sent peer-to-peer to the other players in that room so they hear the attempt live. Voice chat audio is not recorded or stored by us.

To run the game: grade takes, award points, keep streaks and achievements, match players, and show leaderboards and profiles.

To keep it usable: answer support messages, handle reports and moderation, prevent abuse and cheating, and fix bugs.

To fulfil Dub Pro: confirm a purchase and unlock the cosmetics it includes.

Not for advertising, not for profiling, and not for training anything on your voice.

Your username, avatar, banner, profile card, level, points, achievements and leaderboard position are public. Your email address is never shown to other players.

In a room, the other players there hear your takes and voice chat. If you report a player, the person you reported is never told who reported them.

Your profile and progress are kept while your account exists.

Clips uploaded to a custom room are deleted when that room closes, and take audio is retained only as long as needed to grade it and play it back for that round or match. Grading scores outlive the audio, because your points are calculated from them.

Support emails and reports are kept while the issue is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, so repeat problems can be recognised. Moderation records are kept as long as the account they concern.

Fundub does not sell or rent your data. It is shared only with the services needed to run the game, each doing one job:

• Supabase. Database, authentication and file storage. Holds your profile, scores and uploaded audio.
• Vercel. Hosting. Serves the site and keeps short-lived operational request logs.
• Discord / Google. Whichever one you sign in with. They tell us your email, display name and avatar - nothing else, and we tell them nothing about your play.
• Resend. Delivers messages sent through the Contact form to our inbox.
• PayPal. Processes Dub Pro payments. Card details go to PayPal and never reach Fundub.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect players and the service from abuse.

Fundub sets cookies for one purpose: keeping you signed in. They are written when you complete sign-in and cleared when you sign out or delete your account. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing here to opt out of - blocking them just means you cannot stay signed in.

Some settings, such as your language choice, are stored in your own browser and never sent to us.

Play as a guest. You can play without an account. Guest progress is not saved.

Change your details. Username, avatar, banner and profile card are editable from your profile at any time.

Delete your account. Settings has a delete option. It removes your profile, progress, takes and likes. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Ask us. To request a copy of your data, correct something, or complain about how it has been handled, use the Contact form.

Sign-in is handled entirely by Discord or Google, so there is no Fundub password to leak. Data is stored with per-row access rules so one account cannot read another's, uploads are limited by type and size, and administrative screens are restricted to staff accounts.

No service can promise perfect security. Do not record anything into a take that you would not want another player to hear.

Fundub is not intended for children under 13, and an account requires a Discord or Google account of your own. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be announced in the game before they take effect.
